Spirits of Cuba is a photographic journey through Havana, Viñales, Cienfuegos, Trinidad, Santiago, and Baracoa, capturing the emotional and spiritual essence of the island. The series blends everyday life with sacred rituals, including Santería ceremonies in Havana and Trinidad, revealing a Cuba that is both grounded and mystical.
Guided by a fascination with light, shadow, and human connection, the images evoke the resilience and warmth of the Cuban people. Some moments are spontaneous, others intimate, but all reflect the spirit that pulses beneath the surface.
This body of work is not a documentary, but a poetic exploration – an invitation to feel rather than to analyze. Through visual storytelling, Spirits of Cuba pays tribute to the unseen forces that shape identity, belief, and community across the island.
